In 2023, POIRE has been renewed. It is now made entirely from 11-gauge canvas, making it lighter, and includes an inner pocket.
This single-shoulder tote has one exterior pocket and two interior pockets. When the opening is cinched with the buckle inside, it forms a pear-like shape.
This single-shoulder tote was developed after much trial and error, with the idea that for a mother holding a small child to quickly sling a tote bag over her shoulder in one motion, the bag must have a single handle. A buckle was added to cinch the opening to prevent contents from spilling out, resulting in a unique pear-like shape.
It is designed so that when worn over the shoulder, the exterior pocket on the front side is away from the body, so you can choose between a right-shoulder or left-shoulder carry.

For canvas products, the canvas fabric is first washed to naturally shrink it, then cut and sewn. The finished product is then washed and air-dried again to help it settle and create a natural texture, before being shipped.
Due to fabric shrinkage and washing wrinkles, you might feel that it "looks wrinkled and used even though it's new." These wrinkles will naturally smooth out and blend in with use. Thank you for your understanding.
For environmental considerations, we wash with a small amount of laundry soap and air dry, without using fabric softener.
