JETMINMIN is a tuff tote bag manufacturer started in 2009 by the SLOW-MODS husband-and-wife team of JETT (Takuo Kawachi, former architectural designer) in charge of design, sewing and policy, and MINMIN (Tomomi Kawachi, former graphic designer) in charge of design, cutting and management.
Almost all items are personally selected and made to order, and are handled by JETT and MINMIN themselves, from manufacturing to shipping.
Located in the quiet and naturally blessed Lake Hamana area of Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, far from the ultra-high-speed culture, the company has renovated a house built in 1972 and turned it into an atelier, where it grows many fruit trees with its two boys. Unconstrained by tradition or custom, the company produces small quantities of items born from a lifestyle that makes the most of local bounty and industry while experimenting with a new slow movement with a social perspective.
